I've had my Instagram for a while now and I can watch videos but I cant take them. I've already tried to update it but the video button wont show up

When u press camera of ig, theres a video icon on right.. then when yiu oress that, theres a red button at center, .. to record, hold still the record button.. it will only take 15 secs video

There is. A shape as a camera in the app press it and switch the camera to recording that's it
