I recently started a twitter account basically about girls and for girls. I really want more followers though! I have had my friends follow me and some people i do not know but its barely 30. Any suggestions on how to get this number up?

Promote your Twitter page. If you have a web site, put a link to it on your site.

Well the best way to get followers is to just tweet interesting things so people RT you and you get more followers. But another thing you could do is use a follow website.
The best one is http://www.twitclub.com/
You basically follow lots of people and they all follow you back instantly. The only bad thing is you have to follow lots of random people.

It's actually not that hard to get noticed on twitter and get more followers. You just have to take a look at what type of tweeter you are and adjust your style to that...actually I learned that from this article:
