I know on the right hand side of the computer screen they have a list of names that has all of your friends that are online, but I sent two of them a message and neither one answered me back. So I'm just wondering if they have a green dot beside their name are they online, but not necessarily on facebook? Or are they definitely on facebook?

They might have been away from the keyboard or ignoring you. If there is an outline of a smart phone next to their name and a green dot it means theyre on their phone.
