How does Facebook choose the friends that show up on your profile when you look at it? - M - 12-27-2013 10:31 PM

I feel like it's a mix of the people whose profiles you view most and the people who view your profile most. If that's true, it's an awfully sneaky way of making people keep coming back to Facebook (among others... sometimes I feel like Facebook is just a big social experiment).
"Facebook can't hit at who views you most"..... that's simply not true. They may not be supposed to, and I know their FAQ says that they base it on who you interact publicly with, but that's simply not true... Some of the people who show up are people who I have NEVER interacted publicly with OR viewed their profile in months but that I happen to know sort of stalk me.... Sooo the only logical explanation is that it's at least partly based on who views your profile most.

I believe its your friends of friends that show up more often. friends in common.

Facebook can't hint to you who views your profile due to privacy. It's people who you interact with often, although some of the friends can be random as well or a part of certain lists or groups you created.
