Which one is (more) correct --English--? - MC 24 - 10-14-2012 01:08 AM

As the beginning of a senet

"I always hear about Twitter memes late."
"I always get Twitter memes late."

You know those Twitter trends like "Put a pink bow on your profile picture for Breast Cancer awareness." I always hear about that kind of trends way too late. That's what I'm trying to say.
ALSO, should I put a 'the'? Like, "I always get THE Twitter memes late."?

Both are correct, but if you want to keep it short use the second one, or to clarify say, "I always get Twitter memos too late." There is no need to add "the."

"I always get the Twitter memoes too late."

"I don't get the memoes from Twitter soon enough."

I always get Twitter memos too late.

Added: Unless "memes" is a newly-coined word.
