I want to send message to a friend on facebook using my e-mail. I cant get on facebook right now so i just want to send a message to them using their name.

ask him to give you his username@facebook.com
it's the same as an email address, and your friend will receive your email as a msg on Facebook.

You have to asked for the facebook email something like name@facebook.com sending an email will be received by the FB message function.
