I need to join a secret group on facebook. My friend is in the group, so can you just add me to the group? Or does like a special admin have to add me?

You can join the secret group only if you get an invitation.The invitation can be sent only by the admin or any of its members. Since you have a friend in the group,you can ask him/her to send you an invite.
