Hello!
I have a question!
If I log into facebook on my computer, and just stay logged in all the time, will the green dot always appear by my name? I don't have it on my phone, so I was just. Even when I close my laptop, I am still logged into facebook; I never log out. Will the green dot always be there?

I know it goes away if I log out, but will it stay on if I just walk away form my computer and it goes to sleep?
I am not sure if I am being clear or not!
Thank you for all the responses. I just want to know if the dot STAYS when my computer hibernates. I know what it means, but it is next to some people's names 24/7, so I was just curious.

The green dot will stay there as long as you are online, just close Facebook or log-out to change that

The dot means you're online and people can talk to you.
