When ever I look at the side panel of my facebook page that shows the friends that are available to send an IM message to some of them have a mobile icon next to their name. I am not talking about the names that have a mobile icon with a certain amount of minutes displayed after it (2min) I am wondering what it means when there is just a mobile icon by itself?

It means they arent technically online but you can still send them a message and it would come through on their phone

they are on facebook mobile

The symbol represents the Facebook Messenger App that a person has installed on their tablet or smart phone.
