If I accidentally post something on someones Facebook wall but delete it right away, can they still find out? - cooinghook458 - 01-03-2014 07:33 AM

I posted a happy birthday message to someone who I don't talk to all that much but then realized that her birthday was actually two days ago, so I kind of panicked and deleted the wall post.

Is there a way that she'll still find out?

Yes. Because she will get a email about it.

no, unless there's a friend of yours in facebook that clicked the "like", then it will be shown on their timeline.

If she has it set up to her email ONLY if she has it set up will she get it and besides its not a big deal.Honest mistake. If she gets that mad about it Shes not a good friend anyway.Dont stress over something this little there are far more important things going on in the world right now to stress over.

No, she might see that something was posted, but she will not be able to read it and will probably think that facebook is playing up... Should be fine Smile

No (even there's comment/like on it), unless she already happened to see it or that she set up to get that kind of notification (posting on timeline) through email or text messaging.

Anyhow why panic, just put a comment on it, something like 'sorry, just open my FB or just remember'. It's better than not congrat her at all.
