I am using a site that tells you who unfollowed you on twitter, and things like that. There is a category that tells you how many "fans" you have. it says i have 144 fans, but 379 followers. what are fans and what is the difference between a fan and a follower?

The peoples who follow you and you don't then they are fans.
The peoples who follow you and you also follow them then they are not fans.
