Is Anyone Else As Sick of Getting Trolled As I am on Facebook? - Vegie - 01-04-2014 03:56 AM
it seems every day someone does something hateful on one or another page I have or on a post I make or a friend of mines page.
I actually have 80 people blocked on Facebook due to this just to protect myself - I have treatened to delete my account at least three times in the past week and burst into tears more times than I can count from what they do.
Is anyone els as sick as I am from the abuse from other users on Facebook?
I also get people from all over the world trying to "friend" me people who have no idea who I am - I am a lesbian and these are men - I have no need of men coming after me. and they don't even tell me about shared interest and if I ask them why they want to friend me they don't answer. Some of them are even accounts that have only been created withing the past hour or so.
Some people even message me just to preach at me about how I am "damned to hell" for my "chosen" "lifestyle"
added details - many of these trolls are on pages - Two Vegan pages I joined
more detail - and my plus other - and the other trolls are not my friends but friends of friends - so I have no control over them - they are the ones who populate my block list most - that and my room mate and her "family" - plus a few of my family.
I just checked the help - it is not possible any more to be unsearchable or no one to send you friend requests they disabled that - the best is to get it as strict as only friends of friends are allowed to friend you and strict filtering of messages

I'm pretty sure you can change your settings on facebook so no one can friend requests you or even find you unless you know them or they know certain things about you, as for being just being abusive on facebook, it's like new trend first it was who can be the nicest, then who an be the most annoying fkng troll there is. Never add people you don't know anyway - especially foreigners

I haven't gotten any rude messages lately, but I am sick of seeing my friends getting rude messages.
I don't see how people can judge people not knowing who they are. Belonging to a certain religion, having a certain sexual orientation, and liking certain things do not define a person. They just define a small portion of that person, and they would still have their personalities without that.
We usually report the user, but we don't know for sure if that does anything.
I try to ignore these stupid people. Something to keep in mind is that these people have no lives. If they have enough time to create Facebook accounts and stalk and be rude to random people, then they are no better than the scum on the bottom of my boots.
(Actually, my boots are too cool to have them stuck on)
