I have already turn on notifications on facebook. Still not working
Applications on my phone dont display on my notification bar

You have to turn on Text Notifications in your Facebook Account Settings.

go to facebook, twitter and instagram on your galaxy y and under notification settings, turn on notifications and check on the boxes for receiving notofications
also check whether you have turned on active sync for your device, if its turned off then turn it on
