I currently have 126 followers on Instagram, and all my friends have 300+. They joined at the about the same time and have a similar number of photos as me. How do people do it? (also, if you could follow me, I'd appreciate it and give you 10 points. I'm @kn430).

Use Hashtags in your photo. there are different hashtags not only that are reffering to your picture but also the ones like #iphoneograpy #iphonesia #jj #instagram etc.
Like all the pictures in the popular page. This is really working. Liking pics on the pop page can help you gain followers.
If you have alot of money and can afford it, you can buy Instagram followers on the net.
