For example if you comment on another picture will they be able to see that in their feed, like on facebook??

Yes in the "following" section next to news they can even see pictures others liked and who they started following

No unless they are following the same person that you commented on the picture. Then no. They won't see it in their newsfeed. If your worried about it.. See if that person is following the other person.

Yes, They can see your comments on other pictures because they are fully following you. When you share any photo, status. post photo. comment on photo or like any photo etc. They can see.

If your Facebook is linked to your Instagram, then yes it will appear on Facebook. Likes and comments on PUBLIC photos will appear in the news section on Instagram, but not if the profile is private.
