Those things don't do anything to improve or screw humanity. Humanity uses those things to either improve or screw humanity.

Yes, and no... it helps us get information and makes us a lot more civilized and in contact with each other... however it has sparked many new crimes and now we just strictly depend on it... if it goes the world ends basically.

Both for example....
It has made finding your ancestors much easier, family history, genealogy.
It has spread the scourge of pornography in some clicks of a mouse.

It has been known to lower your IQ if you are always waiting for a response from somebody to a message you sent and you are always obsessive about it. In some ways, it has improved, though, as people have access to information and research. However, people can put up lies, spy on you, scam you, or do something else that is evil like that. It has made people less social, too. Kids are always playing their video games, so they never go outside to meet their neighbors, and their neighbors are probably the same way, so even if the kids did try to meet their neighbors, their neighbors would just be like, "GIT OFFA MAH PROPERTAY! SHOO! GIT!"

It has the potential to, however, it so far has limited physical interaction and promoted bad spelling, vocabulary, and grammar. However, it has also provided information to more people, given a better platform for individuals with unique ideas and beliefs, and has allowed for more interactions with various different cultures. Technology is essentially a double edged sword, it can provide people with more freedom and knowledge but also has the potential to turn us into a Fahrenheit 451-esque society.
