Ok so this friend I'm looking for still appears on my friends list but with a blank picture and when you click on it it says they deactivated their account. The personal messages I have with them still appear but says I cannot reply to this conversation. So there's no way she blocked me right? I know it may seem obvious but some articles I've read say if their name says "facebook user" instead of their actual name then it means you got blocked but some other articles say if it says facebook user it means they deleted their account...
Ok that's what I figured thanks guys. Lovato- eventually will she disappear from my friends page entirely or will she still be there with a blank picture?

I get blocked alot. And people delete their accounts alot. So I'm pretty sure your friend has deleted their account if they still show on your friends list

"Facebook user" means you're blocked, if it's their name then they deleted and Facebook will have to remove the person from the friends list and delete the messages. Give it time to sort itself out.

They have deleted their account.
If they had blocked you, their profile, name and private messages would be completely hidden from your page.
If they decided to reactivate their account again, you can tell as their normal profile picture would show again and you will be able to see their page

if she blocked you, you wouldn't see her at all, nor would you be able to find her so she deleted her account.
