Merging Facebook Profile to Business Page? - Stephanie - 01-12-2014 11:54 PM Hi, I run a Facebook Profile for a business. We just recently made a Business Page, that is accessed through our Profile. We want to delete the Profile, and just keep the Page.. How can I merge the Profile info to the Business Page? If I delete the Profile, will I lose the page as well? Thanks! - Nick - 01-13-2014 12:09 AM Unfortunately you are not able to merge a personal profile with a business page due to Facebook's structure. I own an online marketing an social media management agency and we see this issue quite often. Here is what I suggest: 1) Create a personal profile for the owner/CEO of the company. 2) Assign management permissions to the new said personal profile. 3) Alert fans that you have started a new fan page and share the page on your company's old profile page. 4) After a significant number of fans have migrated, delete the old profile and you're done! If you'd like additional help please feel free to contact me directly. - abraXus - 01-13-2014 12:18 AM what you want to do is not possible - every business page needs to have a personal profile that is the admin for the page |
