maybe it's better to delete. if you feel/sense that they are not into you anymore, why hoard them in your friends' list?
you are not deleting to forget them. you are just organizing your social networking life. after all, if you are to connect with them in the future, another phase will come through.
one thing more, some accounts are not active anymore. and if they are, do you think you are that important to them?
