Public profile: Facebook? - Caroline - 01-15-2014 01:39 AM

My Facebook is set up that only friends can see posts/pics etc. However, everybody can see my profile pics and comments, places I've visited etc. How can I change this? Do I need to deactivate then reactivate? And if I do, how can I be sure not to delete the albums I've got? I need a profile that shows as little as possible to "outsiders". Any advice greatly appreciated.

Go to settings and privacy & it says limit the audience for psts you shared with friends of friends or public. Click on it and say yes.

The Reason Why They Can See Them is you Did not Apply the Settings Correctly For Profile Pictures you Have to Go Through the Album And Set Each Picture to Private No Way Tho To Set the Profile Pictures Album to Private In One Click Like you Can With The Others As Far as Places Goes i Think its Included With the Posts Settings if There Able to See it Than its Probably Not Set to Private Reset Those Settings to Private and That Should Do it

Your current profile picture is always public, and so is your cover picture. You can't hide them completely, but you can hide the comments.

Click on your profile picture so it opens up, along with the comments. Then hover your mouse over the icon next to your name and date, and it turns into a button. You can change who sees the comments there. Set it to "Friends".

You may need to go through your old profile pictures too, depending on what setting they already have.
