Aren't you so happy that George Bush put all of our Social Security money in the stock market? - Joe - 10-14-2012 06:14 AM I know, I know, he only WANTED to do that, thank God he was shut down, eh? - oldmarine08 - 10-14-2012 06:22 AM No, that's not what he wanted to do, he wanted to make availabel for the individual to do it if they so choose to....dang people get it right! - Phil M - 10-14-2012 06:22 AM SSI was never meant to be an investment. Its insurance. I don't know why that was so hard to figure out for some. - ry(an) - 10-14-2012 06:22 AM Well if you think about it, it only would have happened if the dems didn't win in 2006, and then we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. - George Obama - 10-14-2012 06:22 AM Look at it this way... The market is down 40% so we would have theoretically lost 40% & have 60% left. But what really happened is Washington spent it ALL so its all gone. There is nothing left - cantsuspendme31 - 10-14-2012 06:22 AM I wish he would of I will get about the same when it goes bankrupt 0 - City of the blind - 10-14-2012 06:22 AM Ah what a knee slapper. - freakboynv2008 - 10-14-2012 06:22 AM you are assuming that there is a social security trust fund, there is not any such trust fund. the politicians spent all of the money that was supposed to be held over for social security benefits. - jphillips13 - 10-14-2012 06:22 AM First of all it would not have been put into stocks directly. I would be like a HUGE money market acount with managers who do this stuff everyday. My money market and Ira are both up. and he was saying you would have a choice. so you would not have to do it if you didn't want to. |
