Do Facebook accounts delete after a period of time of not using them? - sandra - 01-16-2014 12:06 PM

Ok well I have a Facebook, well i HAD one, and I havent been on it for a bout a year cause I dont using it and i forgot the password, email, etc. I really dont want anyone to find my account like..I want it to be permanently deleted without myself clicking the deactivation button. So i was just wondering, do Facebook accounts get deleted after a while if u dont use them for over a year? please sayy yes. thanks!

No, you can deactivate it, but you can only delete it by writing Facebook and telling them you want it permanently deleted... Sorry hun.

The only way they can get deleted is if u deactivate it and still you profile can be found you have to email them to totally get it off facebook

yes.

But not really, facebook will never delete any accounts and or messages/pictures that you have uploaded. You need to get on and deactivate it, but even after you deactivate it they still dont delete it.

Nop.. It won't delete automatically unless you deactivate it.. Wink

Facebook a accounts remain on facebook until you delete the account. Deactivating it means you're not going to be using it for a certain period of time, while deleting it will take it off the facebook "system" for good. If you don't use your facebook account, people can still message, post and comment to you. If you forgot your password and login info, facebook may be able to email you temporarily login info that you can use to access your old account, which you can then delete, change around, ect.
