Joe posts a picture and you are friends with Joe and I am not.
I can not see Joe's picture.
Joe posts the same picture and you say "Joe nice picture" now I see the picture of Joe.
everything you post or like I see. If you don't want me to see it don't respond.
FB will also ask me if I want to be friends with Joe, he is also your friend. I ask joe to be my friend and he does. Now I can see all that you and joe have.
Joe says no and whenever you say hello to Joe I can see everything he does for the whole day. (4 hours)

the people who "follow" you can only see your public posts, and you cannot make public posts if you are under the age of 18

and if you lie about your age, facebook deletes your accounts
