when i clicked on friends it just showed their "followers"
they are my friend on facebook though

some people have their friends either private or only so their friends can see it. try adding them!

It's in their privacy settings. It's the same as limiting the audience hat can see your posts. You can view their "public" info but not things they show to "friends only" or even their custom list of people.

They don't want to show how many friends/or who their friends are, that's why.
That's the reason why, most times, there's probably other reasons for that.

They have their friends listed as "private."
