This sounds like a homework question, rather than a "higher education" question.

This topic must have been discussed in your class or at least in your textbook. It sounds like a pretty basic concept. Maybe you can talk with your prof if you don't understand what is being asked. Or, discuss it with some of your classmates, perhaps.

At any rate, your asking the question here illustrates why you need to do the homework yourself. The purpose of homework is to get the student to think about the question and process the information and then be able to write a meaningful and coherent answer. This will be a valuable skill later in life. Good luck to you!!
