Are social networks considered a form of media? - Michael - 10-14-2012 08:46 AM

I'm doing an assignment on forms of media for college and other than television and radio, I really don't know any other forms of media off the top of my head. I have an idea for the assignment, if in fact social networking sites like Facebook are considered media.

Thanks for the help.

Well, unfortunately, I don't think so ... the social network seems to use the medium of the internet.

Other media would include the print media ... newspapers and magazines, for instance. Books might be considered a different medium even though they are print, or at least they used to be. Now that so much can be done on one's computer, kindle or ipad, the medium there again might be the internet or the computer.

Maybe you should research this via the computer?
