Why are my sterling silver earrings not selling on etsy? - Steven - 02-18-2014 10:45 PM

The name is "JewelleryCat" Capital J and C, double L. I did some earrings for Scottish independence and one pair of doughnut earrings (I've made like ten pairs of each so I'm not wearing the ones I am going to sell) Why are they not selling - I'm just 14yrs so please don't be TOO harsh... I am Scottish so not too pretentious doing the Scottish earrings Smile

Hi! Just checked out your Etsy page and at first glance the earrings are really adorable and quite sweet. But here are some tips that have helped me sell items:

- Don't put pictures of you wearing the product as the customer may not know your using your own pair and it could be off putting.
- Do use professional pictures. You can make your pictures look professional by showing them in a box, wrapping or gift bag etc. This could extend your audience to people buying as gifts.
- Add reviews, give your friends a pair to try out and get them to write a review.
- Share your product through google, twitter, facebook, instagram etc. The more people know about your product the more chance you have of selling.

Those are just a few tips. Also I think your earrings or gorgeous but I think they would make really cute studs as well. Because shamballa stud earrings are very popular. The Scottish flag design looks really cute too! The donut earrings again are very nice, and would also make great studs but overall just be patient, stuff takes more than one day to sell. But good luck! Smile

Too over priced, $10 for a pair earrings? They sell a 20 pack of earrings at wal-mart for about $4.88
