you tell me your point why ?
and i tell you my point , India should ban social networking and little bit part of internet because :
1] India is the only Hindu country we should protect our culture
a] Social website is encouraging prostitution and violence
b] polarization of Hindu casts : like every cast want to prosper and there are several org dedicated for only cast
like for Marathi people , Hindi peoples , reddy and so on so it is like a competition and there hatred between thousands of Hindu cast is increasing and Social networking is like a catalyst in this process .
we are losing the sense of Hinduism .
2] Porn website , though india is a young country but lots of peoples are losing their youth on porn and illegal sex
3] tool to spread hatred not only against other religions but also against various casts even against Brahmin and other
if we keep our mentality like this there will be soon a war between India and Pak , which is not so good for Hinduism , there is also a chance of civil between various Hindu caste and thanks to social media
4] we are destroying our DNA : because of social media and internet inter-cast and inter religion marriage
are increasing and we are polluted by white DNA which is not good at all , in this way we are losing our identity and becoming more like Western peoples
5] social media is destroying our languages as well as culture :
English is becoming the dominating language , we see our own mother tongues inferior , if we keep going like this forget about any Indian language will become international language of science and communication in future .
No culture , No language , no Literature that means no Hinduism , we all will be like white pigs who hate blacks [ we are doing it already , dark skinned Hindu girls face problems during their marriage ]
there are thousand young people who never had read the Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramhans
and they are stupid enough to ruin our culture .
now tell me why we should Not

I have a better idea. Why not just ban the ability of the people of India to think, react, and make better judgment calls based on the information they have. That is pure sarcasm in case you missed it.
You want your ways shoved on to what and how other live. That is all I see here. What if someone proposed that anyone who uses a computer or internet to complain about the internet and social networks should be committed to a mental institution. Would you be for it?
It sound ridiculous, I know. So does your claim. Get my point? No. In a nutshell, you want others to live and do, believe and act, JUST like you would. I'm not fond of people who do that so cut out.

Ok.I do agree social networking has got a bad side.But honestly,i feel Indian culture is too strong and Hinduism has stood the test of times and it will always.I do agree the people here are getting westernised and I dont agree that Indian languages have become secondary,no way,that aint gonna happen.Indian languages rule.They are awesome.

Social media is from west. When war takes place these are going to help west. This is surely true. If it was not then China would not have banned Google who was declining to COOPERATE with Chinese Govt.
Any Business MUST Co-operate with its native Govt. otherwise they should simply leave.
Considering what happened recently in Mumbai/Bangalore, these Facebook, Google, Twitter SHOULD HAVE cooperated with the biggest democracy otherwise they are misusing the information against Humanity. A white's blood is blood, but our blood is water or what?
We have enough examples of Boforce, MIC in past.

I understand your sentiments, but if took these things seriously, we will be like Taliban. Strong attitude will be harmful for us.
1. True but we are culture more than religion.
a. Social website is encouraging prostitution and violence. This holds true. But it depends on who is tempting to watch. P0rnography propagates many sexual perversion, this is true.
b. Agree to some extent. These caste-ism and group-ism only nourishes our ego. They stop us being united. Especially if people are super ignorant about their vedik roots.
2. P0rn websites: It is practically impossible to make all young minds one. Evil and good yopung are in every society. If there are Swami vivekanadas in our society then we too have Majumdaar's.
3. Hypothetical, not true. We are still not that fool to be used by Pakistanis.
4. You may be right may not be right. Cannot say.
5. Agree. That is why have no language still in UN.
Nobody finds your claims true because time has changed much and its implementation would take another century & lots of effort.

1. No, it's wrong. prostitution and violence was always there. Now we are witnessing little increase because it is easy to gather people thanks to mobile phones, people can gather easily thanks to bikes and cars, prostitution is increasing because boys and girls are studying is co-ed institutes, they have mobiles. All the help social networking provided is instead of asking directly to a girl we can send friend request on FB, but no one can compel anyone there. All happens with mutual consent. There are pros and cons which everything have. We can't blame them to be devilish
2. Pornn and illegal sex are not supreme issues it was common in old days too, now people have hotels in old days they do it is sugarcane field, supreme issues are drugs and tobacco products which are easily available everywhere. We need is to abolish drugs first.
3. Like sometime back we were at peace? Pakistan will always be our enemy, India Pak will never solve Kashmir matter even if we blocked social networking sites. India didn't declared war after hotel Taj attack, how can some rumors at social networking sites cause war? Sorry but country is not run by people who chat on Facebook. And Castism is now coming to an end with more interaction between people from different castes, it can make our younger generations free from demon of caste.
4. Sorry but I haven't seen any of my friend married to white women. White women and men don't come to India after chatting online. The inter racial marriages happen between children born to Indian parents outside India. Even if an Indian marries white women he/she leaves him/her after getting green card. That's why nowadays Europeans, Americans and Canadians don't even look at Indians they know that Indians only want citizenship in their country. Little DNA will be destroyed in the migration of people from India to west but what do you expect from creamy layer. They are not willing to waste their hard earned education in this corrupt country where government cuts road tax and give contract of roads to private companies who again demand toll tax on every time we use that road. Petrol is at it's highest cost in India and here in Punjab we purchase petrol of highest price than whole world. Little DNA of NRIs will be destroyed but that won't effect our DNA who will stay in India.
5. I always hated to learn English because both my mother languages Punjabi and Hindi are way too advance and superior than this shitty English but what could I have done, English is our prime necessity for interviews, what you need is to change education and job system, not put a ban on internet.
Hinduism won't die without our culture and I don't think our culture is in accordance with Hinduism, we practice caste system, used to practice sati system, dowry system and much more. I don't feel need of that culture, we need evolution of our culture which is happening.
We are all beginning to see the bigger picture by means of these mediums, putting a ban on them will make us struck in darkness again. everything have pros and cons, overemphasizing cons and neglecting pros will take us back to from where India is trying to get up.

Prostitution was present from the times of rajas. If indians are very conservative and do not think about sex at all, why we have 1.2 billion population in a small land area.
Different religions came to hindusthan because of the conquest of rulers. British brought christianity.
English is an international language because the british conquered and had lot of colonies in the world. If we wanted hindi to be a international language, hindi rulers should have conquered some kingdoms. They were busy fighting among themselves. Hindusthan was not the present India until we got independence. It was a collection of different small kingdoms.
Is Social network ruining our country? There are thousands of people who die of hunger every day. Couple who have no clue how to get the next meal, give birth to a child. And let the child to die due to hunger.
Our culture, scriptures, religions are very powerful. But it can not compete with overpopulation.
Overpopulation is killing the country.
