I keep getting emails from Facebook asking me if I want to "friend" exes or people that I don't want anything to do with. I've canceled my facebook account, changed my email password, and removed emails from anyone I don't want to contact. However, I still getting emails from Facebook asking me to friend these folks. It wouldn't be bother me so much, but it's my understanding that the other party gets the same emails.
P.S. It's really scary how Facebook got it. Apparently, if you're stupid enough to give Facebook your password to check on People You Might Know, it will not only pull from your address book but will somehow pull emails from EVERYONE you've ever sent or received an email from. It will then send the autogenerated emails that you are unaware of these folks. Oh, and it will also pull from anyone you've ever searched on. So much for Facebook's policy of never revealing your search history. They all but do that here. I'd contact Facebook but their Help Desk is useless.
