I need help. can anyone explain to me about gender as social structure and media. i need to know this for my sociology exam tomorrow. But i cant seem to find description or examples for it.

You are born with a SEX...male or female based on your reproductive organs. However, when it comes to the GENDER (girl/boy, man/woman) you identify with, it's all based on social interaction and how the media portrays each sex. Basically, our gender norms (how men and women are expected to be) is all based on how society thinks they should act and how media depicts each gender.

I could go on for hours about this topic, but this is the basic gist.
