Opinion: Too many people extend information unnecessary for the general public's knowledge. On FB, for instance, I found one person who actually scanned their license and posted this on their page. There are other problem such as bullying... Same as text bullying, there are slanderous, intimidating and antagonistic messages that metastasize. I keep none of these networks for socialization. I may change this after beginning a career, but only for this purpose.

1. Wasted time

2. They give the illusion of knowing someone, without ever actually speaking to the person. Unlike a normal conversation, they'r the equivalent of watching someone from behind your blinds. You might know every bit about the neighbors, yet never actually speak with them or form any sort of real social connection. A nation of voyeurs.

3. They sure made the pedos happy didn't they?

Actually, social media or the social networking sites isn't bad because it is created for people to get connected and able to share different ideas or views. It doesn't contain life and can't tell you what you should do. But if you use social media for your business, it would be much better because it can provide a great positive impact to your company. Just be responsible enough on how you use social networking sites and you will determine that social networking sites isn't bad at all.
