On Instagram it says people requested to follow me?? It's never done that befor. Before it just said _____ has followed you. How do I change it back?

Instagram only says someone has requested to follow you if your page is set to private. Check your settings and if you're page is set to private turn it off and set it to public. This should solve your problem.
