I want to have my own blog to post some of my writing but I can't have a facebook account because of my parents. So, do I need a facebook account to create my own blog?

You can check other blogging platforms like Blogger, Wordpress and Posterous. What you need is, a valid e-mail address to sign-up.

I needed a quick and easy way to set up a blog and found blogger.com to be the easiest to set up. You don't need a Facebook account. Blogger.com is affiliated with google, so it will ask you to register an account. For security, it is always good to have a different email account to use besides your regular personal account. That is the one you should use to register for things like blogging. Here is a link that will guide you on how to set up a blog.
