Account Details, scroll to bottom & click disable account

Click Account in the top right corner, then Account Settings. Click Security on the left, then Deactivate your account.

Go to: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=delete_account
Then follow the instructions. This will permanently delete it as opposed to disabling it.
