By real relationships I am referring to the quality of said relationships.

Actually, it probably more likely helps us stay connected to people we'd otherwise lose touch with more easily. I would say that, on average, I socialize even more in person, since using social media.

No.It extends relations beyond the boundries of countries.It helps to keep relations even when you can not meet personally.
