Today is my birthday and I just turned 13, therefore making me old enough to have a Facebook account. I was setting it up but then it got denied because it thought that I was 12. My birthday is 12th January 2001 which means that I am indeed 13, not 12. Why does it think this?

Maybe the facebook servers are in a different timezone and there it isn't your birthday yet? I think you should wait a day or two and try again, maybe it just is a day behind or something.

Why bother putting your real age on it? Say your 16, F/b doesn't know the difference!
Facebook's servers are in Western USA so at the moment it is still Sat 11th of Jan over there because of the time difference. Perhaps they haven't taught you any Geography at your school?

Hi sophie as most of this sort of thing is on servers in the USA it does take time for them to catch on to the facts of life.so by about the middle of next week maybe.
as a senior with years of knowledge i would advise against you against even signing up for this as it contains some very nasty people.

its Probably Because of the Time Zone Difference That May Be Why Try In a Day or 2 Again and Than you Should Be Able to Register For a Facebook Account
