Is there a world record for the number of friends a single person has on facebook? I thought about this last night and was wondering if I could be one to break that record.

facebook has limited the number of friends one can keep in their friend list. Now only maximum upto 5000 friends are allowed and many people have that many friends..

The actual limit is 5,000 friends, but Lady Gaga is the latest record holder with over 10 million "friends" on facebook. I'm not sure if the limit is 5,000 friends, how they know the correct number of friends a person has. Charlie Sheen broke a record last week with being the "fastest" person to reach the 1 million friend plateau.
