Help with my persuasive speech? - A - 02-19-2014 12:35 PM
My speech topic is about how social media such as Facebook affects teenagers. The speech has to be 3-3.5 pages double spaced (so around 5 minutes when speaking). So I am going to talk about how students grades are dropping because of social media, and how it affects our health. Any more ideas? I already wrote my intro, but I have no idea how I am going to write my body paragraphs. My teacher said the speech has to engage the audience...

People could write a book or two about how destructive so called social media can be. Just look at the numerous cases of online bullying. People DIE when texting and driving. Simply make a list of everything. Give each topic its own paragraph and flesh out each paragraph as you go. You don't have to write the thing A to Z straight up. Start with an outline...and just add add add...then edit...then structure. Easy peasy.
