I use facebook through my blackberry and everytime I get a message, I get 2 notifications...I get the text message from facebook letting me know that I have a new message and then I get the message from the actual facebook app. I want to get the notifications from the APP only. Last time I played around with the settings I had to reinstall the facebook app (don't ask why). Thanks in advance you guys,
Thanks guys, I unchecked all the text message alerts and stuff but now I'm not getting the regular facebook notifications like I'd like.

select "texts off"

go to facebook (preferrable on your computer), go to the "account" button on the top right, scroll down to "account settings". once there, select the "notifications" tab. there you can uncheck the boxes next to the items you don't want to recieve SMS texts about.

unclick all the SMS boxes
