whenever i add a new friend it does not show on others facebook as Luqman is now friends with xxx

You might want to check "account " (top right corner), "privacy settings", then "profile information", and then see "posts by me" or something else in that area. I think that will be where the status updates will be set.

It takes Facebook awhile to add him to your friend list. Hope that helps!
