How can I stop Facebook from emailing me notifications but still displaying them on the site when I log in?
Facebook is sending me emails everytime there is a notification but I don't want to receive so much emails from it. However, I don't want to change anything in the way it displays the notifications every time I log in (in the bottom right corner).
I went to Settings -> Notifications and then I was able to turn the notifications off but this is not what I was looking for as I still want to receive them - just not to get them emailed to me.

You're in the right place, from what you describe that is in fact what you want.

Under the My Account > Notifications, turning them off should only affect email notifications. Note that above the selections it reads:
"Email me at xxx@xxx.com when someone:"
Are you sure you're no longer receiving notifications within FaceBook?
