i started a facebook group, and it was only to promote something that was going on for a whie...but now i don't know how to end it.

Kick everyone out of the group, then leave the group, and it will be deleted

Agreed with the above answer. Go to "edit members" and get rid of everyone. Last, get rid of yourself. A message will pop up that says if you leave the group, it will be deleted. Hit yes.
