i downloaded facebook for blackberry about a week ago and i had no problems getting notifications, but all of a sudden it stopped getting notifications and i dont know what to do

You can selected when you get emails from Facebook. It's under the settings tab at the top of the screen. I think deleting your account is also under that tab..
