Earlier in the year I made a facebook group to promote events run by my office, but university regulations say we have to take it down (or else keep it up with the wall and posting turned off.)
Lame.
So how do I remove the group from Facebook?

Kick out all the members. If you're the group admin, go into the members list and just kick everybody out. The group will auto-delete if there are zero members.
That's the only way I know of.
