I want to be more private and change my username on facebook. I am in groups and want more anonymity.

yes there is Review your name standards
Click in the upper-right corner of any Facebook page and select Settings
Look for the Name setting and click Edit to the far right
Type in your name and save your changes.

keep in mind that if you dont use your real name on facebook and someone reports you for it, they will suspend your account
