i was thinking how do you shut down a facebook account because am so annoyed that people from my school keep sending nasty messenges or bad comment about me..
i would like to shut my facebook account..
there thing that i can't get on facebook because am on school internet and computer and plus fact i don't have proper internet.

you can only disable it on "Account" and "Settings" you click "Disable Account"

If you want to deactivate your account for now but want to use it again at some point in the future :
# Go to Account
# Scroll to the bottom
# Hit deactivate
If you want to permanently delete you account and never use it again :
# Go to the main page of facebook
# Scroll down to the bottom
# At the bottom-right of the screen, click on Help Center
# Then type "How do I delete my account permanently?" in the search box.
# After the page loads, find the question "I want to permanently delete my account. How do I delete my account?"
# Click on the link given in the answer. Confirm.
Your account will now be permanently deleted if you don't log in within 14 day.

Do you mean you want to deactivate/delete your account? If so, that's quite easy.
You will need to have good internet and be able to access FB. Maybe try going to a public library and log into your account. Once there follow these directions.
1. From your homepage select "Account" from the top tabs. This is the same button you use to "Log out" of FB. It is located by "Home" and "Profile" on the top right hand side of your homepage.
2. Click "Account Settings" From the drop down box. This will give you options to change your notifications, and other things. The very last option is "Deactivate Account". Click that and follow the on screen directions from there.
This is the only way to "Shut down" or "stop" your Facebook account. I'm sorry you're being harassed by your friends. Kids can be cruel. Good luck, and I hope this helps
