I have never been in a predicament like this. I am currently seperated after 22 years of marriage. Started talking to a guy I went to school with on social media. We clicked immediately. Chatted for hours on end, exchanged photos and gifts. He suddenly shortened emails and disappeared, reappeared 2 months later and explained he suffers from depression and cuts himself off from everything, he drew me right back in with his sweet words and said he would make a trip back here soon. After 2 months he stopped emailing again. I will not email him. He obviously has problems and he has broken my heart yet again. Our last chat was perfect, he couldn't say enough wonderful loving things to me, his last email he was despondent again over family issues and money problems. He has never been married and always a loner. I know I need to move on, I really fell for this guy knowing he has issues. I need help

While he is interested in you, his problems seem far too complicated than what he has told you so far. It is not worth breaking your head about why he behaves in a certain way on one day and very differently the next day. It is better for you to move on.
