My parents don't like myspace because they think its dangerous as far as privacy is concerned.I had 2 accounts before that I closed.But,they are 100% fine with me having a facebook,my dad has even an account.So,would myspace be ok for me or are there differences in that regard? they are concerned about prevues and stuff like that.

Just use Facebook. No one is using Myspace anymore. Myspace is filled with useless junk.
