I am 63 and I don't have one, and I don't need one, and I don't miss out on anything because I don't have one.
Why do you think you need one? |

I would explain to her that this is a modern day networkning feature and alot of people are using it. Also let her know that there a settings that can protect unknown people from viewing your information.
Let me know if you need some more help convincing her fost_1987@hotmail.com |

She's probably concerned about how it will be used. I suggest telling her that you will only add people that you know, friends, family, school...Don't add people from Facebook groups. You don't know them and it's not safe. Maybe you would even be willing to let her, or your dad be FB friends (maybe). I have some friends that have their parents as friends and other that never would do that because they use FB as a way to sound off about their parents. Also, use the security privileges. I suggest you hide everything from the public, and only make it visible to your friends, also mention this to your mother.

You're old enough to get a Facebook and probably mature enough to exercise your judgment so go ahead and make a Facebook.
