Do you think it's wrong to refuse friend invites from relatives on facebook?
I haven't got a problem with messaging them so they can see my profile and I really haven't got anything to hide, but somehow I'd rather stay private in case they judge me in some way.
Bonus question: would you distinguish between parents, siblings and distant relatives, or have a uniform privacy policy for all? Ads |

i let my mom be my friend on youtube, and the next thing i know, she's commenting on it saying stuff like "don't forget to take out the trash" "get off your computer and go help your brother with the tv!"
"i love you, honey!" "tell that one person to back off; he could be a sex predator" "did you do your homework?" |

Is it heckars wrong!!
Family don't have the right to see what you and your friends talk about or what you get up to!! It's private!! Like an online diary between you and your friends. Would you let your parents read your hand written diary?? Didn't think so!! So don't let them see your facebook account!!, and about not having anything to hide, You might soon, so the best thing is just to message them and not accept their invites therefore your private life stays private!! I mean where Family members are concerned what's up with just visiting eachother?? |

I only use Y!A and that other site you know!
I would like to keep everything private because here I am 'real' me...unfettered, a free-spirit. Even though its nothing to be ashamed of...I would like this to be my very own private space! Exactly for the same reasons as you mentioned! Bonus answer: Uniform privacy policy |

I know someone who has two accounts ::
one for his acquaintances, relatives and so-so friends and the second for his real friends and family! He finds he has more peace that way, and you should see all the great pix on his private acct! |
